After discovering that the website that Oxxygen had paid another company for was nothing more than each page consisting of one big image, with hot link areas where the buttons are, they asked us to take their design and build the site properly.

The Brief

Use a supplied design and build a static site taking care to ensure that the menu buttons retained the formation around the main content area. The content of the site needed to fit in the provided content area with out spilling outside of that area.  The cost of the site could not exceed the cost Oxxygen had  set with the previous company

Our Approach

In order for the menu buttons to retain their position irrespective of screen size and dimensions, a different approach was needed when it came to how we developed the site.  We also needed to take into account web standards with respect to development  and load time.

Due to the nature of and shape of the content area a scroll function was required. We needed to do some research as to how best we could achieve the desired result that would also work across the key internet browsers available and load quickly. We discovered a solution which we implemented with great effect.

Through diligent research, carefully constructed code and image optimisation, 73dpi met the clients requirements on time and within budget. We also ensured that their site was fully compliant with all web standards and search engine requirements.
